Kids make up stuff and lie which is why some stories aren’t credible to me.

I will never forget seeing a UFO with my mom when we were driving. I was around 16 years old. As we were driving, the moon suddenly seemed to get bigger.. but I didn't say anything. Then it got bigger, and bigger, and BIGGER until it was taking up almost the entire horizon. My mom actually stopped the car because everyone else on the road had slowed down and stopped too. It was impossible to ignore. We kept watching it and I opened the car door. I heard people screaming in fear, saying "WHAT IS THAT?!" This object that appeared to be the moon continued to grow and grow and it almost looked like we were about to impact with it. People were screaming a lot from all the cars around me. Seconds later, this giant object taking up the entire west portion of the sky then began to dissolve and fade away like a bubble was popped, or like a fire burning a piece of paper. It all just randomly faded away, and the moon was back where it usually is. My mom saw the exact same thing I did. I remember searching on twitter for tweets "near me" (that was an option at the time) - Everyone was talking about the light in the sky and wondering what it was. It scared the hell out of me, and as silly as it may sound; I honestly thought the moon was about to crash into the earth. It was so fast and got so big so fast, the only thing my mind could come up with was "Whatever that is, it's going to impact us, it's coming fast.." - I still have no idea what this was. This took place in Anaheim, California around the summer of 2012. Has anyone seen something like this? I still wonder often what the hell that was.
